Weight Loss Week 2 - 314 lbs

The first week has past and it went pretty well. I remained well under the daily points awarded by Weight Watchers and maintained good nutrition through out. Every night I cooked meals and weighed the food properly to ensure that we kept our portions down low. In place of smaller portions I have increased vegetables and salads...lots of vegetables and salads. It wasn't the vegetables that made me fat. Surprisingly I haven't really been hungry but when I did get the urge to eat I grabbed a bottle of water and some hot sauce instead. The heat of the ghost peppers would last and immediately cure my need to eat. The water wasn't to cool off the heat but rather to put something in my stomach and change the habit of chewing. I have learned that, for me, the need to chew is a habit that needs to be broken.

Last week Weight Watchers allowed me 61 points for the week. I averaged about 39 points a day. There was only one day that I went even close to 50 points and that was when I tasted 1 ounce of smoked Gouda with bacon cheese. I was able to control myself from eating the entire thing but oh my God it was a struggle. It's still in the refrigerator waiting for me to have another taste of it this Wednesday. Why Wednesday? No reason. It just seemed like as good of a day as any to treat myself to something really really delicious. I am a glutton for cheese and sausage so being able to withstand this kryptonite is a mighty good thing as it sets the bar on my self control.

I lost 7.2 pounds last week which was a bit too much too quick but there could be a number of reasons, so for the first week I will take it. This week I will probably drop 2 or 3 pounds which will be the expected amount from week to week until I plateau. This week my exercise consists of stretching and some simple calisthenics to help with the visceral fat. Minimizing the fat around my heart of utmost importance.
